One deputy chief CPS official commented, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a thorough and intricate investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.” Scope of the Investigation These allegations come after what police called a “complex investigation” into reported sexual offences at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
