The newest action-packed game that players explored was Far Cry 6, which starred Giancarlo Esposito as the antagonist, Antón, and was released on October 6, 2021. Little surprise that FX's new order for a Far Cry anthology series attracted two creators whose work have exemplified all of those elements.

About the Series

Adapted from Ubisoft's successful video game franchise, the self-contained anthology series will stream on Hulu and is being made by FX Productions. The anthology will also mirror the video games' structure by featuring a different location and cast of characters in each season.

Key Producers

Rob Mac, mastermind of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the visionary behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will serve as lead producers on the series via their labels, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be partnered by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television.

Upcoming Developments

Mac will also feature in the show, but at the time of writing, we do not know what part that could be. Hawley's Alien: Earth was not long ago approved for more episodes, with FX and Disney agreeing to a new comprehensive agreement with the producer.

A release window for when we can look forward to the new Far Cry show has not yet been revealed. The series will stream on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus globally.
